Göbekli Tepe translates as “Potbelly Hill” and is one of the greatest archeological discoveries ever made.
It is a super ancient Neolithic archeological site in Southeastern Anatolia Region of Türkiye that is believed to date from 9,500 to 8,000 BC.
It is regarded as one of the most important archeological discoveries.

Prof. Benjamin S. Arbuckle will present an overview of recent discoveries in Anatolian prehistory. He will focus on current archaeological and paleogenetic research in southeastern Türkiye uncovering the first complex societies at the end of the last Ice Age and tracing the impact of these early societies on later developments across Eurasia.
Turkish Coffee/Tea and light dessert will be served.
