Exclusive Movie Showing – Bir Cumhuriyet Şarkısı (A Republic Song) – Session 2

Beşiktaş Kültür Merkezi (BKM) has authorized the Aziz & Gwen Sancar Foundation for the exclusive US showing of the film ‘Bir Cumhuriyet Şarkısı (A Republic Song)’ with English subtitles.

All the proceeds from this exclusive showing will go towards the on-going construction of the Sancar Scholars Residence (SSR).

Bir Cumhuriyet Şarkısı, 1930’lu yılların Türkiyesi’nde sanatla devrim yapan bir avuç genç, yetenekli ve azimli insanın hikayesini konu ediyor. 1930’lu yıllar Türkiye’sine ayna tutan filminin yönetmen koltuğunda Yağız Alp Akaydın oturuyor. Filmde Salih Bademci Ahmet Adnan Saygun’a, Ahmet Rıfat Şungar Münir Hayri Egeli’ye, Ertan Saban Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’e, Şifanur Gül Nükhet’e, Melis Sezen Saygun’un eşi Mediha Hanım’a, Birce Akalay Nimet Vahid’e, Okan Yalabık Osman Zeki Üngör’e, Mehmet Özgür Süleyman’a hayat veriyor.
