SUMMARY:Victory Day (Zafer Bayramı) Commemoration & Sancar Scholars Residence Groundbreaking Ceremony
DESCRIPTION:We are thrilled to invite you to the Victory Day (Zafer Bayramı) Commemoration and the Sancar Scholars Residence (SSR) Groundbreaking Ceremony! \nThis event is a monumental step towards creating an enriching space for visiting Turkish scholars and to commemorate the decisive victory over invading forces during the Battle of Dumlupınar on August 30th in 1922\, which marked the end of the Turkish War of Independence\, led by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. The victory was a significant milestone in the establishment of the modern Republic of Türkiye. \nThe event is set to take place behind our very own Sancar Turkish Cultural and Community Center (STCCC) located in the heart of Chapel Hill\, North Carolina. This event is more than just a ritual\, but a celebration of the progression and expansion of our community. \nPost the groundbreaking\, we will have a social gathering in STCCC Great Hall where you can mingle with fellow attendees and learn more about Türkiye along with our Foundation\, Center\, and future Residence. This will be a great opportunity to interact with people who share similar interests and are equally passionate about promoting Turkish culture. \nWe would be honored to have you join us for this significant day and be a part of our community’s growth story. \nWe look forward to welcoming you to SSR Groundbreaking Ceremony. \nLearn more about SSR by clicking here. \nRSVP and Donate | Sancar Scholars Residence \nNote: Donations made to Aziz & Gwen Sancar Foundation (AGSF) are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by IRS. AGSF’s tax identification number is 26-0871109. \nParking: STCCC parking lot at 1609 East Franklin St.\nOverflow Parking: Behind Franklin Street Realty at 1525 East Franklin St.
