SUMMARY:Cooking Class - Turkish Vegetarian Favorites: İmam Bayıldı
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a hands-on class featuring light and flavorful dishes from Turkish cuisine. We’ll prepare and enjoy four plant-based meze favorites\, perfect for serving as a healthy meal. Our experienced home chef Refika will guide you through these beloved dishes and explain the unique preparation methods and cultural background of each recipe.\n\nMenu:\n\nİmam Bayıldı (Turkish Stuffed Eggplant):\nA famous Ottoman dish of eggplants stuffed with onions\, tomatoes\, green peppers\, and parsley. Light\, aromatic\, and deeply flavorful. It is so delicious that “the imam (a religious leader) fainted” when he tried it. Or at least\, that’s how the story goes according to the most common translation of the dish’s name.\n\n\n\n\nCacık (Cucumber Yogurt Dip):\nA refreshing side made with finely chopped cucumbers\, creamy yogurt\, garlic\, mint\, and olive oil — cool and tangy.\n\n\n\nWhite Rice:\nA simple\, fragrant rice cooked to perfection — the perfect complement to the meal.\n \n\n\nChocolate Chip Cookies: Crisp on the outside\, soft inside — a sweet and modern favorite to close the meal.\nTurkish tea will also be served.
